Chicago Fire SC is a professional soccer club based in Chicago, Illinois, founded in 1997 in honor of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. The team competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) and plays its matches at an iconic stadium located along the shores of Lake Michigan. The club had an impressive start, winning the MLS Cup in 1998 during its inaugural season. Primary logo
The history of the club is closely tied to the Great Fire that the city experienced in 1871. It was therefore obvious to bring back the firefighter's cross at the center of the design. This symbol helps form the letter 'C' while also incorporating part of the city’s flag.
